Background
Culture-lens was founded by Agnes Bamford, who has extensive experience delivering business and personal coaching, training and group facilitation. She grew up in Norway and has lived and worked internationally for many years before returning to Norway in 2019. Agnes collaborates regularly with other consultants from her vast international network.
She is currently a senior lecturer at the department for Strategy and Entrepreneurship at BI Norwegian Business School. Agnes has taught intercultural communication to bachelor and master students since 2019.
She has a corporate background from financial services in London, and has run her own international consultancy business since 2007. Agnes served as a board member of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce between 2013 and 2020, and she was also a board member of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR) UK from 2015 to 2020. She has been a volunteer mentor for entrepreneurs on behalf of the charity Unity Spark and she was an appointed member of the NHH alumni board between 2021 and 2025.
Agnes holds a PhD in international business communication from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), an MA in intercultural business communication from the University of London,, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from University College London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in business and personal coaching (ICF accredited). She is a graduate, ('siviløkonom'), from the Norwegian School of Economics.
